Had a great experience here today! It was my first time here but my family members have been several times. Upon entering, the updated interior decor and cool air conditioning was pleasant. Our waitress and the staff were responsive and kind. They kindly accommodated adjustments to the spice levels for the kids and made recommendations. Food was delicious. They also have private rooms for large parties. Restrooms were updated and clean but not many stalls.

New environment is nice and clean. Love the owner that has a kind heart for charity! According to the first picture should be able to tell how good this place is! Highly recommended 5/5

One of the best Szechuan spots I’ve tried! I highly recommend the toothpick lamb and the mapo tofu- both were absolutely delicious. The mouth-numbing sensation was off the charts! The new atmosphere is really nice and not overcrowded, which made the experience even better.

Spicy Home really surprised me in the best way. The food is super authentic Sichuan: bold, flavorful, and the portions are huge. Even if you don’t usually eat spicy, there are plenty of dishes you’ll still enjoy. What really stood out to me, though, is the design of the space. It feels warm and inviting, with natural wood tones and just the right touch of red accents. The lighting is beautiful, soft and ambient, without any of those harsh LED dots you usually see. It feels really high-end, but the prices are totally reasonable. The owners are super friendly and welcoming too, which just made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.

**5 stars—for now—out of good faith. To-go might be your best bet until the dine-in service improves.** I came in with high hopes, ordering more than usual to see if the quality held up at this new location. Thankfully, the dishes were still solid. The plates were hot when served--and remain hot when I finished eating. That said, the service was a letdown. All the servers seemed new and inexperienced. The woman covering the front area clearly didn’t know what she was doing. She forgot to serve rice with my first dish, didn’t give me a second spoon for the spicy dish (and questioned why I wanted one), and after promising to bring it, never followed through. I had to ask someone else. No one checked on the food. No one refilled water. Meanwhile, dirty plates sat on two tables for over 30 minutes. The atmosphere? Not great. The new decor might appeal to eco-conscious diners, but I couldn’t get past the heat, the flies coming in through the open doors, or the strong smell of cigarettes that lingered for about 10 minutes. I asked to change seats because of the heat and was sitting in the middle of the restaurant, and I could smell the smoke! Very uncomfortable. As for the yogurt dessert—a new item with house-made toppings—it was just okay. Not bad, but not memorable. I would order the yogurt by itself. Other diners seemed frustrated for the same problems too. I overheard complaints about the rice and the temperature inside. I asked about the tipping system and was told tips might be split between servers and chefs. I strongly oppose tipping chefs unless it's an open kitchen or they’re directly serving customers. I ended up tipping extra to the one server actually doing the heavy lifting, hoping it lands in the right hands. --- **Suggestions for the owner:** 1. **Close the doors.** It's hot, it invites flies, and it’s not helping your energy bills. 2. **Keep tipping separately.** Let customers tip the people serving them—not behind-the-scenes staff they never interact with. 3. **Rethink staffing.** An extra trained server would go a lot further than a busser at this point. 4. **Reconsider the “homemade” toppings.** There are quality brands out there. That energy might be better spent improving service. --- In short, the kitchen still delivers, but until the service catches up, ordering to-go remains the better choice.

This Sichuan restaurant’s $75 roast duck is delicious, with crispy skin and tender meat, offering great value for money! Its authentic Sichuan flavors, bold and spicy, rank among the best in Rowland Heights. The dishes are affordable, fresh, and generously portioned. The newly renovated space boasts charming Chinese-style decor, creating a warm atmosphere perfect for family gatherings or hosting guests. With attentive service and a clean, cozy environment, it’s ideal for spice lovers and those seeking milder flavors. Highly recommended for an authentic Sichuan dining experience!

The restaurant has spent a fortune on this new location, and the decor is up to date with warm lighting. Food is great, except they are too oily, a lot of cooking oil settles at the bottom of each dish, implying the food, especially stir-fried meat is either shallow-fried or deep-fried. This is a spicy food restaurant, most food is spicy; however, the cook is willing to accommodate, adjusting the level of spiciness, or even making it non-spicy. Service is friendly, and ordering food is via an iPad.
